Born in Beijing, American Dr. Ning Tien (formerly Ning Tien Scialla) is a performer and teacher of violoncello, piano, chamber and orchestra ensembles. With over 30 years of experience, her career as a cellist and teacher has taken her around the globe from Boston to Bali, from Andiast to Beijing. A resident of Littleton, Massachusetts, she is the founding member of New England Piano Trio, Omaggio Duo, Forte Duo and currently serves on the faculties of Fitchburg State University, Joy of Music Program, Wachusett High School and Groton Hill Music Center.
