On April 27, 2012, the New England Piano Trio with Kristjon Imperio, piano, Peter Hughes, violin, and Ning Tien, cello performed at the Holden Chapel, Harvard University during the annual Art First Festival. The program for the evening included Hector Villa-Lobos Trio No. 1 in C minor, Tian Lian Tao and Song Tao Capriccio Himalaya, and Antonio Dvrak Trio "Dumky" in E minor, Opus 90.
